Opened 1889 and open as of 1987

 

Parkdale became part of Toronto system in 1889 assigned number 2 for their duplex. Was an independend post office prior to that time.

system in 1889 the old Parkdale hammers
were used for many years after.

Another late use of an old Parkdale hammer. (Back)

 

Nice use of 14 ½¢ stamps to pay the 2¢ rate to the United States plus the 5¢ registry fee.
